We are deeply saddened to announce the death of our founder, Bob Segal, in February, after a courageous 7-week battle with cancer. For those of you who heard this sad news through other sources, and sent encouraging thoughts our way, thank you.
We recognize that for many of you, Bob was your first, and maybe sole, contact with Segal Revenue, and so our continuing relationship will involve some changes and new faces. However, we will continue to offer you proven strategies, quickly implemented and with minimal disruption, to increase your revenues. What will NOT change is our commitment to you, our clients. We are honored to have our clients accept over 95% of our recommendations.
Bob created Segal Revenue in 1994 because he saw a need that existed outside traditional solutions for local governments, school systems, and other public agencies. Segal Revenue & Expense Specialists is the only firm in the Carolinas dedicated exclusively to seek cost reductions and revenue opportunities without affecting personnel.
It is with pride that we announce that Bob's son, Richard, has joined Segal Revenue to assure continuity for the firm and provide a seamless transition for you. A graduate of Elon University, Richard was employed in the area of retirement plan services at Gilliam Coble & Moser, LLP, in Burlington for 4 years while studying for his degree. In 2014 he served as an intern in the Office of Management and Budget, Executive Office of the President of the United States. Most recently he was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC in Charlotte in the area of financial services audit. Richard has a BS degree in Accounting and BSBA degree with a concentration in Finance. Obviously, Richard's choice of career indicated a possibility of someday following in his father's footsteps, although none of us expected it would be this soon and in this way.
